As you practice yoga, you learn to watch your judgmental and negative thought patterns.  Naturally, after some practice, these fears, doubts, and negativity begin to subside.

This starts to happen when you are off of your mat too.  You experience savasana at the end of class and begin to go deeper in your meditation practice.  This leaves you with a sense of calm awareness.

You are able to be in the present moment for longer periods of time.

The closest thing I can compare this to is meditation.  Essentially, what yoga is teaching you is moving meditation.  Yoga teaches you to increase your concentration, focus, awareness, and balance. 

These practices begin to show when you are also off of your mat.  This gives you the ability to step back and see things in a new perspective.  Your life directly mimics your yoga practice and vice versa.
