Some may think the oil cleansing method is a recipe for disaster. The truth is, it is an incredible solution for youthful glowing skin.
There are a lot of microbes on all of our skin, we need some of these to kepp our skin safe.
The Oil Cleansing Method
The beginning of any good facial routine is thorough cleansing. Cleansing has commonly been done with harsh soaps. Dermatologists agree that most soaps can strip your skin of its valuable oils. People with oily skin commonly overuse soap, making the issue much worse. Your skin is stripped of it’s oils and therefore tends to make more to adjust.
Oil Absorbs Oil!
Oil cleansing provides hydration and gently soothes your skin.
The idea of rubbing oil all over your face to clean it may seem counterproductive at first. The fact is that “oil absorbs oil”. The right oil cleansing method recipe can help lift excess sebum, remove makeup and dead skin, and nourishes your skin. The nourishment comes from the oils that contain vitamins, minerals, and antioxidant properties.
The oil cleansing method is appropriate for most all types of skin. This recipe works for:
Dry skin
Oily skin
Acne prone skin
Aging skin
Combination skin
Solution: Oil Cleansing Method
There are many different oil cleansing recipes you can choose from. I like to keep things simple and create your own oil cleansing recipe by combining two of my favorites. I use a 1:1, meaning 50% or each oil.
There are many to choose from on the market as well.
Here is a list of commonly used oils that are appropriate for cleansing.

Add these to your Oil Cleansing Method recipes if you have acne prone or oily skin:
I love essential oils, but I do not recommended that you add essential oils to your oil cleansing recipes. Essential oils are extremely potent, easily overused, and can be irritating or even damaging to your skin and eyes.
I’m not saying that every essential oil is bad to use on your face. If you have professional experience with essential oils please use your own discretion.
How to apply oils to cleanse your face
Always begin with clean hands. Rinse your face with lukewarm water using your hands or gently wiping with a washcloth. Put a small amount of oil into your hand and gently massage it in.
Use a clean washcloth to gently wipe away the dirt and oil that will be lifted. Continue with the rest of your facial cleansing routine, like toning and moisturizing.
It is safe for most people to use this method of cleansing up to once everyday.
